May Ball 2017 | The Mere | Saturday 20 May 2017

Knutsford Rugby Club is delighted to invite you to our May Ball 2017 and experience a night like no other. Some say the May Ball is lavish and yet a gently intimate affair, filled with an exciting array of entertainment, sumptuous food and unlimited drinks. Others remember revelry beyond their wildest expectations. For some, there is no clear memory on how on earth a manikin appeared in the house after the May Ball.

It starts from 7:15pm as we gather in The Mere reception with a glass of fizz or a hearty locally brewed ale before The Mere gates open to our tables. Ted Robbins will be our host once again as we launch into an evening of fun and frivolity with a diverse array of entertainers to make sure the night is electric. Carriages from 2:00am.

To reserve your tickets please get in touch with anyone from the Club Management Team or simply call Tony Evans.

Storyline | History

A little bit of history.

In the past we have used this fund-raiser to help the children’s charity 'When you wish upon a Star'. It’s an inspirational charity and we have raised over 100,000GBP from past May Ball’s. This year our fund raising theme is the Club itself. Our challenge is to create a sustainable, vibrant and growing sporting community and whilst our achievements are considerable we are still in need of a true clubhouse and the security of our playing fields. Together with the Knutsford Academy we are ever hopeful of developing facilities and to do this we need to show our capability in fund raising. We hope you can help. All funds raised will go to developing facilities within the club, helping our junior section grow and create a safe and fun environment to play sport. Our aspirations are still focused on achieving future security and building our own club house. Its an amazing club with an inspired group of volunteers, coaches, players and sponsors.

It’s a great place to be.

Finally our thanks go to our fantastic primary sponsors, Stirling Lloyd and Valley Resource, and our particular thanks to Mike Claddingbowl at Knutsford Academy.

Neil Loftus, Club Chairman.
