The Mini and Junior Section of the Knutsford Rugby Club is a marvellous environment to enjoy Rugby at all age groups. The Section has grown in strength and has been awarded the first stage of the RFU Seal of Approval. The RFU, in conjunction with Sport England, introduced the Seal of Approval scheme in 2002 in an attempt to increase and sustain the number of youngsters participating in rugby at grass roots level. Clubs are assessed by the RFU and must demonstrate evidence of good practice in areas such as administration, development, duty of care, sports equity and playing programme. With over a 100 players, the Mini and Junior Section is a great way to enjoy sport (age groups from 7 upwards; both boys and girls).

The U-9s capped a wonderful season with a fantastic tour to South West France courtesy of generous sponsorship from Gusto Restaurant and Bar; and The Cross Keys Pub. This was the first European tour for KRFC and what a classic tour it turned out to be; starting with one tourist having brought his brother’s passport by mistake! One man down before boarding the aircraft was unfortunate but in true tour spirit the forgetful tourist eventually joined the tour later the same day.

- The Mini and Junior Section play at Knutsford Sports Club and Egerton Youth club on Sunday mornings. The Sports Club and Youth Club are on Mereheath Lane, Knutsford and the games/training begin at 10:30am and finish at 12:00am.
